Collection Festival de Théâtre des Amériques

In 1987, the “Theatre des Amériques” festival selected one of my art works to promote their festival. For the occasion, I created a work whose title “La Pièce” evokes theatre. This work was located in a large practice hall in the École Nationale de Théâtre de Montréal.

The work is made up of pictures projected on 2 screens, one picture blending over the next. In the foreground there is a seated woman. On the screen in the back, we see a room in which there are 2 chairs and where light is coming in from a window. Decorative elements in the room are lit by projectors. A recorded message is heard over loud speakers. Voices ask questions about what is present and what is missing.
